Description

Centurion/CDPN provides quality dental services to over 70,000 inmates throughout the state of Florida. 

We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our team at Apalachee Correctional Institution located in Sneads, Florida.

The Dental Hygienist performs oral hygiene treatment for offenders to include prophylaxis, curettage, and other hygienist procedures in a correctional setting.

Essential Duties:

• Operating radiographic equipment to obtain dental radiographs of patients
• Maintaining patient dental records
• Completing required reports/paperwork
• Providing personal oral hygiene education and instruction individually or in a group setting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required 
• Successful completion of a dental hygiene program required
• Florida Dental Hygienist license
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening 
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift: Any combination of days, Monday-Friday; 3 10-hour shifts (30 hours per week). Current hours: 6AM-4:30PM EST, Monday-Thursday. Or 7AM-5:30PM EST, Tuesday-Friday.
