Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Medical) (Travel) works between various facilities/locations throughout the state according to contract needs, providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. The LPN works under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

•    High school diploma or GED equivalent required 
•    Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one required
•    Compact licensure preferred
•    Minimum of two (2) years of LPN experience 
•    Must have open availability to travel throughout the state as needed per contract needs 
•    Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) 
•    Corrections experience preferred 
•    Previous travel nurse experience preferred
•    Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
