Description

Centurion Health is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Tennessee Department of Correction.

We are currently seeking a PRN Staff Physician to assist in coverage at correctional facilities located in Middle Tennessee.  These facilities are located in Nashville, Clifton and Only . This position has the potential to transition into full-time in the future should candidate desire. 

Travel is paid.

The Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from accredited medical school
• Active, unrestricted TN license
• Active DEA
• Ability to pass credentialing, drug test and background screening

Shift

• Monday - Friday
• Day shift
• Choice of 5-8 hour days or 4-10 hour days
• No nights, holidays or weekends
• Call is PAID and by phone only
