Centurion is proud to be a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and community mental health centers nationwide. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Internal Communications Manager to join our team.

Position Summary

The Internal Communications Manager serves as the primary driver of the company’s internal voice, execution, and communication rhythm. Supporting a workforce of more than 12,000 across the country in corporate, clinical, and facility-based environments, this role ensures employees are informed, aligned, and connected to the organization and its mission.

This is a highly execution-focused role requiring a structured, organized, and responsive professional who takes ownership, moves work forward, and delivers with consistency and accuracy. The Manager partners closely with the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications to translate strategy into clear, effective communication that reflects both corporate priorities and frontline realities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communication & Leadership Support

  • Executive Communications: Partners with the Senior Director to draft, refine, and execute communications for the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.

  • Strategic Alignment: Translates business priorities into clear, actionable messaging for a diverse workforce including clinical, operational, and administrative teams.

  • Change Management: Develops and executes communication plans for organizational updates, including new contracts, operational changes, and HR initiatives.

Content Creation & Channel Management

  • Internal Platforms: Manages day-to-day content across internal communication channels including intranet and employee communication platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.

  • Newsletter & Campaigns: Develops and distributes recurring communications, including company bulletins and targeted campaigns that balance enterprise messaging with field-relevant content.

  • Content Development: Produces high-quality written and visual content including leadership messages, presentations, video scripts, digital signage, and manager toolkits.

  • Brand Consistency: Ensures all internal communications, materials, and content are aligned with brand standards, tone, and messaging.

Engagement & Culture

  • Employee Feedback: Supports the development and analysis of engagement surveys and pulse checks to inform communication strategy.

  • Town Halls & Events: Coordinates content and logistics for company-wide meetings including Town Halls, ensuring alignment, clarity, and execution.

  • Recognition Programs: Supports and executes employee recognition initiatives that highlight contributions across clinical and operational teams.

Crisis & Operational Readiness

  • Rapid Response Communications: Assists in drafting timely communications related to operational updates, public health matters, or facility-level incidents.

  • Compliance & Accuracy: Ensures all communications align with healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and operational protocols.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 4 to 7 years in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related field. Experience in healthcare, correctional healthcare, or government services strongly preferred.

  • Execution Mindset: Highly organized, structured, and responsive with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and independently drive work to completion.

  • Writing & Content Development: Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate clearly across executive, clinical, and operational audiences.

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with internal communication platforms, email marketing tools, and Adobe Creative Cloud for content development and design.

  • Workforce Communication Experience: Experience communicating with a distributed or deskless workforce that may have limited or restricted email access is preferred.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
