Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Dixon Correctional Center located in Dixon, Illinois.
The Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist. This person will aid and assist the pharmacist in assigned supervised duties in a responsible and ethical manner. They will interact with a variety of healthcare professionals, corrections and administrative staff to achieve the goals of the pharmacy department and fulfill contractual requirements.
Hourly rate of $23/hour
Qualifications
- Completed a Pharmacy Technician training program
- Be a high school graduate or hold a GED
- Active/Current Pharmacy Technician Certification
- At least one year of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
- Experience working in corrections/ behavioral health preferred
- Knowledge of correctional healthcare principles and practices preferred; along with knowledge of applicable state and federal laws
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
