Description
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Full-time Director of Operations to join our team in Westover, Maryland.
The Director of Operations assists the Vice President of Operations in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of statewide contracts in their assigned region. This person also works closely with DPSCS and facility administration to ensure the general healthcare program meets the goals and expectations of the DPSCS. Additional responsibilities include ensuring Centurion meets all contractual requirements and provides services within the highest standards of quality and in support of DPSCS’s goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Health Sciences, Social Science, Program Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience (Bachelor Degree holder) or 2 years’ experience (Graduate Degree holder) in high level contract administration and project management
- At least 2 years’ leadership experience overseeing/coordinating the work of a multi-disciplinary team
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with staff and institutional administration
- Experience working in corrections preferred
- Personal computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
