Description
Starting salary: $123,000, depending on years of experience
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a full-time Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team at Baltimore Central Booking and Intake center, located in Baltimore, Maryland.
The Associate Director of Nursing (Medical) (ADON) is responsible for providing supervision for nursing and support staff on their assigned shift in a correctional setting. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the ADON provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to identify and respond to a wide range of physical and behavioral health needs.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or associate's degree with Registered Nurse (RN) license and two (2) years of experience required
• Must hold valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Prior experience providing nursing care and working with a high degree of autonomy required
• Prior experience in supervising nursing staff preferred
• Experience working in a correctional environment preferred
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
